Hi there,

I'm working on a case for a customer, trying to get Microsoft XAL to
run correctly on AIX 5.2. We ran into some very strange stuff trying
to get it running but succeded by installing GCC compiled from
Bullfreeware (I know weird stuff)

Now we are seeing that some jobs die without any real reason.

What I was hoping for is to find someone who is running XAL on AIX 5.2
or has atleast tried and could give me any lead on where to find
detailed requirements for installation and maybe some feedback on how
successful the installation was.

If you'd prefer to take this offline it's no problem, my email address
at the bottom

thanks in advance!
best regards,

Hi Arni.

Please note that we have a specific "Microsoft Business XAL" forum. You'd
probably stand better chances of getting a good answer from someone
monitoring that :-)

Hi Jesper.

It's called microsoft.public.xal

But I can see that the AIX posting actually also is in that forum!?

Hello,

We are currently investigating a linker problem with the XAL 3.50.1 Kernels
for AIX 5.2.
At the moment we cannot give a date for a solution.

As a workaround a XAL 3.50.1 kernel for AIX 4.3 can be used.

This kernel is not an official release, but can be ordered by following
instructions on the PartnerGuide (Product Download/ XAL/ 3.5
/International):
